When Michelle Duggar Got Political

In 2014, Michelle Duggar attempted to help boost Josh’s political career. She recorded a message to help urge the citizens of Fayetteville, Arkansas to repeal a civil rights ordinance that “prohibited local businesses and entities from discriminating against employees and customers based on gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, and other factors,” according to Entertainment Tonight.

The call was placed in order to convince voters of the Duggars’ opinion on transgender bathroom laws.

“I don’t believe the citizens of Fayetteville would want males, with past child predator convictions, that claim they are female, to have a legal right to enter private areas reserved for women and girls,” Duggar said during the recorded call. “I doubt that Fayetteville parents would stand for a law that would endanger their daughters or allow them to be traumatized by a man joining them in their private space. We should never place the preference of an adult over the safety and innocence of a child.”

When Baby Jubilee Passed Away

In 2012, Michelle went to a routine sonogram check up to see how her latest baby was progressing. However, things went horribly wrong when Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle realized that there was no heartbeat on the sonogram monitor. 

Unforunately, the nurse technician informed the Duggars at the time that the baby passed away in utero, according to Fashion Style. After the tragedy struck, Michelle’s first response was, “The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away.”

When Jill Gave Derick A Full Frontal Hug

When Derick Dillard returned home from a mission trip, Jill Duggar got so giddy that she invited her entire family to go with her to the airport. She made signs and had some of her sisters help her with her makeup and hair for the special occasion.

At the point when Jill and Derick finally laid eyes on each other, she ran up to him and gave him a full frontal hug, which is seriously against the rules in the Duggar household.

When Josie Duggar Was Born Early

Michelle faced a birth emergency when her baby Josie was born early at only six months of age. The Duggar matriarch’s life was in peril when she suffered from dangerously high blood pressure and preeclampsia at the time, and the baby was forced to be delivered via C-section.

Josie stayed in the NICU for several months while doctors monitored her health. At the time, the entire Duggar clan moved to Little Rock, Arkansas to be able to visit Josie every day until she was able to come back home to Springdale.

When Josh Duggar Admitted To Child Molestation

This awful moment has been a source of widespread criticism for the Duggar family for years, and will continue to be easily one of the biggest dramatic moments in the family’s history.

In 2015, Josh Duggar made headlines after police reports were made public that accused him, the eldest of the group, of child molestation. The report dated back to when Josh was only 14 years old, and alleged that he inappropriately touched five girls.

“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends,” Josh, 27, said in a statement posted Thursday on the family’s Facebook page. “I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling.”
