In a first for Disney, the Mouse is featuring “The Avengers” movie characters on one of the Disney World monorails. Specifically, just one Magic Kingdom monorail. Similar to the “Tron” Monorail wrap in 2010, it will feature Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).The interesting thing about all of this is that Universal Orlando has a licensing agreement for Marvel characters, which has impeded Disney’s ability to market Marvel properties since acquiring Marvel in 2009. It looks like Disney and Universal Orlando worked something out here, though we doubt you’ll see any other marketing for “The Avengers” at Disney World outside this one monorail.”The Avengers”opens in theaters May 4.
