The return of Ronda Rousey may be upon us sooner than we think.
Fans of the former bantamweight champion have been hoping for her return for a while now, but it seems as though the day may be around the corner. Rumor has it that there are negotiations in place for Rousey to face Amanda Nunes before the end of the year.

According to Fox Sports, Rousey has been offered a fight against Nunes during the UFC 207 card in Las Vegas on December 30th. However, it seems as though nothing is set in stone as the fight has not been officially announced and it seems that they are still in negotiations.

“Yes, there’s a big chance that Ronda Rousey will fight Amanda Nunes,” UFC president Dana White said to Globo in Brazil. “I’m very confident that Ronda will probably fight before the end of the year.”
Nunes recently teased that she had fight news coming up soon, so it seems as though she is very much onboard to fighting Rousey. Not only will Nunes be coming off a four time winning streak, but a match between her and Rousey is set to be one of the biggest matches of the year.
Rousey hasn’t fought since her knockout by Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Australia in November 2015. However, she has still made her presence well known at various events. Though she has been quiet about when she might return to the Octagon, she also hasn’t said anything about not coming back. So, this news is the first big news about a potential return in a while.
As of now, there is not official UFC confirmation about a fight between Nunes and Rousey, but if there will be one, keep your eyes open for an official announcement sooner rather than later.
