The 1995 Joe Johnston film ‘Jumanji’ is an adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg’s classic book. In the movie, Robin Williams portrays a man that was trapped inside of the jungle-themed board game for several decades, and is finally released back into the real world when a pair of siblings (Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce) pick up where the game was abruptly left off. Williams must help the two siblings complete the board game while fending off horrors of the jungle brought forth such as quicksand pits, vicious big game hunters, raging tsunamis.

There’s also a reboot for ‘Jumanji’ in the works being directed by Jake Kasdan. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jack Black will star in the upcoming project that is slated to hit theaters in July of 2017.
