This week on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, host Jimmy Fallon and special guest Ethan Hawke took on the roles of country musicians to revive the FML country band. The hilarious duo belted out humorous complaints from website, FMyLife.com, while donning denim jackets, cowboy hats, and wielding acoustic guitars.
Fallon and Hawke went back and forth singing to one another with a southern drawl about cringe-worthy moments from the popular website, and then in unison delivered a wailing chorus of “FML” between complaints. Ethan Hawke began the twangy riff-off singing, “Today my dentist gave me laughing gas, and in my drugged-up state, I told him that I wanted to hang out with him. We are going to an art museum next Tuesday.”

Fallon then answered in song, “Today I got back my history term paper. The whole thing was crossed out. And at the end, my professor just wrote ‘Nope’.”
After several more turns back and forth between Fallon and Hawke, with each FML moment garnering more applause, the duo brought in the most laughs when concluding the FML song with complaint,”Today, I told my 3-year-old to behave or I’d spank her. She looked right at me and she said ‘Bring It.’ FML.”
Fans of the Tonight Show will recall Fallon did a similar skit with Australian country musician Keith Urban earlier in May. Then last night as Ethan Hawke replaced Keith Urban, Fallon noted his country band FML likes to “rotate band members, kind of like Menudo.”
After Ethan Hawke’s hilarious stint as Jimmy Fallon’s newest band member, who would you like to see rotate into the ‘FML country band’ next?
