Former Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson has not only been fired from the hit show after 12 years, but he is also facing a divorce from his wife of 21 years.
According to documents obtained by Extra, the actor secretly filed for divorce from wife Christine two years ago, though nothing has been finalized yet.

Gibson filed divorce papers citing, “The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities… that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
His wife responded by filing a “general denial,” which required Gibson to file a counter-petition reaffirming his desire for a divorce in December 2015. No action has been taken since then.
The couple has until October 25 to make another filing or the case will be dismissed.
In the meantime, Gibson has allegedly hired a lawyer to seek legal action in response to his firing from the CBS network show.
