USA Network announced on Thursday that reality show “Chrisley Knows Best” has officially been renewed for a fifth season. The network will be be also adding another six episodes to the fourth season of the series, bringing it up to 26 episodes, according to Variety.
The first half of the fourth season of the show premiered on March 18 and ended June 14. This most recent stretch of the series had some of the best ratings ever in the show’s history for viewers ages 18-49 with an average of 1.4 million people from this age demographic tuned in on a weekly basis. The 18-49 age demographic ratings were up 3% from seasons three according to Nielsen live-plus-seven data. The show also garnered better ratings with adults of ages 25-54 (1.5 MM, up 3% vs. Season 3), adults 18-34 (703K, up 7% vs. Season 3), and total viewers (2.6MM, tying Season 3), according to Nielsen’s Live+7 data reported by Deadline.

Amongst all shows of its kind, and within the 18-49 age demographic, “Chrisley Knows Best” is the number one unscripted cable show in its time slot so far this year so it is no suprise USA wanted to renew the show for another season. The show is based around a wealthy Atlanta man, Todd Chrisley, and his family.
The second half of season four is scheduled to return this fall, while the first of season five’s 12 episodes are set to premiere in 2017. All3Media America and Maverick TV produce the reality show with Adam Greener, Jim Sayer, Simon Knight, Perry Dance, Greg Lipstone, Ted Iredell and Todd Chrisley serving as executive producers. The supervising producer is Annie Kate Pons.
