The third note was to his gay prison lover, according to a source speaking with the Daily Mail. Hernandez had reportedly become close with the man while serving his life sentence for murder.
The man in question is said to be the last person to speak to the former tight end before his suicide.
Authorities have allegedly placed the man on “eyeball to eyeball” suicide watch in the wake of Hernandez’s death.

Numerous details have leaked in the two days since the news broke.
Hernandez was high on the spice K2 when he died, officials said. He also had a bible sitting on his bed turned to John 3:16. He had written the verse number on his forehead before hanging himself.
Also, there is currently a legal battle brewing over the former football player’s brain. His family wants the organ to be examined in a study on CTE, but authorities have refused to release it.
