Fabbri’s sister Shelly tried to stop Pagan from leaving on a bicycle after Fabbri was shot in the head. However, as she tried to hold the bike, an accomplice came up to her and punched her in the face, pushing her to the ground.
Many people are shocked to hear that this kind of violence has happened smack dab in the middle of a popular tourist area. Michigan Avenue is home to many high-end retail shops and popular restaurants. The area near Millennium Park is home to tourist attractions such as the Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Chicago Cultural Center.
Fabbri was rushed to Northwestern Hospital after the shooting, but passed away Sunday night from his wounds. Pagan has since been charged with the murder of Fabbri as of Monday morning. WGN Chicago says that there will be a police briefing on the case later on.
