Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will collect the entirety The Hobbit trilogy and The Lord of the Rings films, from Academy Award-winning director Peter Jackson, into a single Blu-ray and DVD collection releasing on Nov. 1. New Line Cinema, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will offer the new collection in two different versions: The Limited Collector’s Edition and The Theatrical Versions Collection.
The Limited Collector’s Edition includes 30 discs featuring The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, each in their extended edition forms. The films are contained in faux leather books placed on a Hobbit-style wood shelf. The collection also includes all previously released bonus content from both the theatrical and extended edition releases, plus an exclusive 100-page sketch-style replica of The Red Book of Westmarch, the book which Bilbo and Frodo Baggins use to record their adventures, and two original reproductions of watercolor paintings by concept artists Alan Lee and John Howe.

The Theatrical Versions collection features The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, each in their theatrical forms as a 6-disc Blu-ray or DVD set.

The Middle-earth 6-Film Limited Collector’s Edition will go on sale on Nov. 1 as a 30-disc set for $799.99. The Limited Collector’s Edition includes the extended editions of all six films on Blu-ray. Bonus content from The Hobbit trilogy theatrical and extended editions is included on Blu-ray. Bonus content from The Lord of the Rings trilogy theatrical and extended editions is included on DVD.Additionally, digital copies of each of the films, both theatrical and extended edition cuts, will be included for download on Digital HD.
The Middle-earth 6-Film Collection Theatrical Versions will be available on November 1 as a 6-disc Blu-ray set for $68.99 and DVD for $35.99.
