While Steve Martin's character in Father of the Bride may have been freaking out in the movie about how much his daughter's wedding was going to cost; he probably would've rested a little easier knowing how much his house was going to be worth. The Colonial-style house in Alhambra, California was recently sold for $2 million after being listed on the market in June for $1.998 million.

The enormous home was used to film the backyard driveway basketball and wedding scenes in the 1991 Charles Shyer comedy, and also some of the scenes from the sequel released in 1995, Father of the Bride II. Around 4,400 sq. ft., the house features 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a grand entry, elegant living room, large formal dining room, and a walnut paneled den/study, according to Zillow. Other features include a Batchelder tile fountaion, and a brick-lined fireplace.

The house was under contract for about a week after only being on the market since June of this year. "The house is gorgeous, great character home, great family home. To have all of that and a starring role in such a well-loved film is icing on the cake," listing agent, Ann Gluck of COMPASS told ABC News.

Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who portrays Martin's daughter, tweeted about the sale of the house.

While this house in Alhambra was used for the basketball scene and the outdoor wedding scenes, a different home located in Pasadena was used for the other exterior house scenes.

If you had the money, would you want to purchase this beautiful house featured in Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride II?
