Rumors swirled around the Hugh Hefner’s death after police rushed to his Playboy Mansion Friday, but it turns out the Playboy king is still alive.
Hefner’s health has been failing over the last couple years, and he’s largely confined to his bedroom. But he still had the strength to personally call the police and tell them he was okay.

Despite all this, the American icon will soon be the subject of an original docuseries from Amazon called American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story, which will give viewers access to over 17,000 hours of footage a personal archives from Hefner’s personal archives.
Hefner also recently sold his iconic Playboy mansion for the hefty price of $200 million. And the best part about the purchase? It also includes the Playboy king himself.
