The good folks at Screen Junkies have produced a new “Honest Trailer” for Disney’s animated classic Cinderella (1950). Feels like the right time for it since a new live-action adaptation will land in theaters this weekend.
The 1950’s animated film is considered by most to be the definitive version of Cinderella, but it wasn’t the first film based on the French fairy tale “Cendrillon” by Charles Perrault. There were actually eleven Cinderella films made before Disney’s. The first was Georges Mรฉliรจs’ 1899 film.
