Eight years after their last LP, Metallica has announced that they will be releasing a new album titled Hardwired…to Self Destruct on November 18th.
Metallica debuted their new song “Hardwired,” in a Facebook Live broadcast from their studio in San Frandisco. During the video, drummer Lars Ulrich andbass guitarist Robert Trujillo also talked about the record. “The album’s not actually finished,” Ulrich stated. “It will be done in the next week or so.”

The new album will contain 12 songs, one of which is “Hardwired,” the rocking song from the video above.Hardwired…to Self Destruct will be the follow up to 2008’s Death Magnetic and is going to be available for purchase in a variety of different formats such as regular and deluxe CD’s, vinyl, and digital. The band is also offering a bundle package box-set edition that contains the deluxe versions of the CD, vinyl and digital as well as LP-themed buttons and lithographs, according to Rolling Stone.
