Last weekend at SeaWorld Orlando, a dolphin successfully attempted to steal a woman’s iPad as she was trying to take a photo. The dolphin clearly agrees with the general sentiment that taking photos with a tablet makes you look like a complete dork.
At the dolphin tank where onlookers are allowed to touch the animals, the brief video was taken by a park-goer showing the dolphin reaching out of its tank and snatching a bright pink iPad out of the woman’s hands. As the tablet is soaking in the water, the dolphin actually seems to be laughing about it as it jubilantly swam around the tank.

A voice can be heard over the loudspeaker saying, “As you can see, the dolphins can reach your loose items.”

The woman was able to retrieve the device and then quickly walked away from the scene. The dolphins seemingly in protest began splashing their tails meanwhile soaking the nearby onlookers from head to toe while they smiled and laughed at the bizarre situation. No word yet as to the fate of the iPad.
Kuadiel Gomez, a season pass holder from Wesley Chapel told FOX 13 that he and his family frequently visit the park and that they have never seen anything like that before. “That dolphin just lunged and reached the lady, which was unbelievable,” Gomez stated.
The news anchors at FOX 13 spoke for us all when they stated, “That’s what you get for using your iPad to take a picture.”
How would you react if you saw a dolphin jump out of the water to snatch someone’s iPad from their hands at an aquatic zoo like SeaWorld?
