Tim Allen Tweets Controversial Take on Evolution

Tim Allen is getting Twitter all riled up after sharing a hot take on evolution. The Home Improvement alum took to social media on Wednesday to offer his opinions on the issue and was met with a swift reaction from the Internet.

The 64-year-old comedian wrote: “If we evolved from apes why are there still apes.”

After Allen tweeted this message, thousands of fans responded. In just over a day there have been over 12k reactions. While there were thousands that liked the tweet, there were others that slammed Allen.

“Tim Allen just woke up from a 20 year long coma to checkmate the biologists,” one user wrote.

A bevy of social media users blasted Allen for his tweet by bringing up his past history of selling drugs.

Another responded by writing: “If Tim Allen evolved from being a cocaine dealer to being a comedian, why are there still cocaine dealers?”

“We didn’t evolve FROM apes…we ARE apes. Maybe, you should’ve paid attention in biology instead of selling coke,” another wrote.

Some users tried to respond to Allen’s tweet by using the actor’s same logic.

“If there are orangutangs (sic) why are there also gorillas,” Twitter user Max Landis wrote. “You’re right, makes ZERO sense. If there are lions why are there tigers.”
