Following WarnerMedia's investigation, Ellen executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman were fired. All three were mentioned in a July 30 BuzzFeed News article that included allegations from former staffers of sexual misconduct and harassment. DeGeneres was reportedly "in tears" when she spoke with staffers about the firing.
DeGeneres also sent a note to her staff, apologizing again. "I'm not perfect," the host said. "I'm multi-layered and I learn from my mistakes. I care about each and every one of you. I'm grateful for each and every one of you." The Ellen DeGeneres Show Season 18 was scheduled to premiere on Sept. 9, but the show has been delayed until Sept. 14.
