Aaron Carter says that he was never spotted behind the wheel of his vehicle prior to his DUI arrest. However, the cops are saying differently.
In the arrest report obtained by TMZ, the police describe seeing the 29-year-old musician pull into the AutoZone parking lot in Cornelia, Georgia after an alert was sent out describing someone “driving all over the road and running into the median.”

Carter’s rep says that “the car was swerving because it was out of alignment not because he was drunk.”
Despite this claim, the police deputy approached Carter and noticed his “eyes to be blood shot and watery with a glazed look to them.”
After the officer approached the vehicle, Carter’s girlfriend reportedly began acting belligerent.
The cops also mention that Carter was talking to himself, losing his balance, and having difficulty tracking movement with his eyes during a field sobriety test.
Carter has claimed that the cops never actually saw him driving and that he should not have been arrested for DUI refusal. He is of the opinion that he was stopped by the police because of his celebrity status.

His rep also states that there is surveillance footage to prove that he wasn’t even in the car at the time the cops arrested him.
In addition to the DUI charge, Carter and his girlfriend were both charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug-related products. However, the “Sooner or Later” singer says he has a medical marijuana license since he suffers from anxiety.
Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, Aaron’s older brother, took to Twitter to relay a message to his younger sibling.
“To my brother: I love u no matter what [and] if [you] feel the need to reach for help, I am here and willing to help you get better,” Carter wrote on Twitter. “Family isn’t always easy, be we’re all here for you.”

Even though his brother’s message seemed sincere, Aaron didn’t appreciate the gesture.
“If my own blood truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum? That’s not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down. I love my family despite it through thick and thin,” he said.
