America's most-loved Fixer Upper couple, Chip and Joanna Gaines, have chatted live on Facebook to answer fans' most asked questions, and reveal one of the worst home remodel projects ever, TODAY reports.

Although it's hard to believe that anything they have ever done didn't turn out perfect, Joanna reveals that there was one instance that didn't go quite according to plan.

She explained, "There was one project where I was going to spread my wings. I had a $20,000 budget and it cost $11,000 to paint the house. I painted the house the wrong color."

Chip elaborated on just how wrong the color was, saying, "She was looking for 'Buttercream.' It turned out 'School Bus Yellow.' "

Joanna says she had to use the rest of her budget to repaint the house and learned an important lesson in the process.

She says, "Don't go buy those little swatches. You gotta paint a big section before you make a decision."

And that's a good design tip to know!

The couple have been really busy lately, revealing their first home makeover giveaway and planning for the launch of their new book, "The Magnolia Story," in October.
