Malia Obama Appears To Be Smoking Pot In Video Taken At Concert

In a video that emerged on Wednesday, 18-year-old Malia Obama was caught smoking what looks like a joint at a concert.

The footage shows President Obama’s oldest daughter at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago last month, puffing away on the cigarette. The clip is only 9-seconds long, and Malia can be seen in the background behind a young girl who is dancing and sticking her tongue out when she unknowingly pans the camera in Malia’s direction while she holds the joint to her mouth.

According to Radar Online, the site that posted the video, an eyewitness at the music festival claimed that Obama was indeed smoking pot. In July, Malia sparked controversy when she chose to attend Lollapalooza instead of watching Hillary Clinton’s historic victory at the Democratic National Convention. Several photographs and videos have surfaced showing her dancing and even twerking at the music festival.

Her father, Barack Obama, likely won’t be able to give her too much grief over the incident considering he admitted to smoking pot and using “a little blow” while in high school and college.

Malia was allegedly caught smoking pot in Illinois, the state that has recently decriminalized the drug. State Governor Bruce Rauner signed a bill into law that removes the criminal penalties for those found in possession of 10 grams of marijuana or less, according to the New York Post.
