Prince's Home May Become Tourist Attraction

Recently deceased pop star, Prince Rogers Nelson, may be having his private estate turned into a tourist attraction. The 57-year-old musician died at his Paisley Park property in Minnesota on April 21. The cause of death was determined as an opioid overdose. Since his tragic death, his estate lawyers have been seeking information on turning Prince's home into a theme park or tourist attraction much like Elvis Presley's home 'Graceland'.

The executors to Prince's estate, the Bremer Trust, were looking to seek the guidance of experts "to provide advice and council on how to manage public tours of the grounds, facilities, and buildings located at Paisley Park" according to papers of the court that The Wrap acquired.

The "Purple Rain" singer died without a will so decisions regarding the estate have been in question since his recent death. His estate was estimated at somewhere between $150 and $300 million but US Weekly reports the money "could be tied up in litigation for a long time." The purpose of making a tourist attraction of Prince's impressive Paisley Park property would be to turn some of his assets into cash.

Former touring musician and member of Prince's Band, Sheila E. once told Entertainment Tonight the house in Paisley Park is "very comforting" and that "It's welcoming and warm. It's a monument. It's a museum." Because of his illustrious career and mystery surrounding his death, fans would no doubt swarm to visit the property in the event that the estate is turned into a tourist attraction.
