Did Sasha Banks Just Hint At Retirement?

She may be trolling us all, but Sasha Banks made a Tumblr post that put WWE fans on their heels. In just seven words, The former RAW Women's Champion lifted millions of eyebrows: "Two more years left! New beginnings coming."

Here's the actual post from her Tumblr page:

What exactly could she be referring to? Does she have inside information on the Trump Administration? Has she meticulously planned a pregnancy? Will she be starting a modern day nWo with Bayley in New Japan Wrestling?

With no context, all we can do is put together ridiculous guesses. At only 25, Banks retiring in 2 years doesn't seem like the fitting piece to this social media puzzle. The Boss has much more to accomplish in her young career. An early departure like this would make wrestling fans relate to Detriot Lions fans (if they still exist) when Barry Sanders retired too early. Or Cleveland Browns fans (lol) when Jim Brown hung them up so early in his career.

If we had to guess, this post has something to do with her personal life. As fans, we're conditioned to believe that anything a wrestler does on social media is part of something WWE related. While that's usually a safe bet, we just don't have enough information to actually put together a coherent hypothesis.

So instead of trying to figure this out, let Banks have her fun. If she is indeed considering retirement, that's a story that would surface sooner than later.

Banks herself has been one of the figureheads of this movement along with Charlotte Flair. The two have brought about a new era of competition to WWE and women's wrestling. Women now find themselves an integral part of WWE's product. More so than ever, the ladies in WWE are featured as competitors rather than eye candy. Instead of bra and panties matches, we have been given women's Hell in a Cell Matches.

Sasha finds herself currently entwined with RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. Banks has been removed from the women's main event since WrestleMania and now looks to be heading towards a SummerSlam showdown against the champion.
