T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach no longer work for ABC. According to TMZ, the two GMA3 anchors have been fired by ABC after a mediation session on Thursday. Holmes and Robach will receive payouts per their contract, and TMZ reports that the mediation was "extremely contentious," with ABC reps accusing both Holmes and Robach of various forms of misconduct, which one source characterized as "a witch hunt." Page Six reports that Holmes' and Robach's exit agreements are "imminent."

TMZ was also told that one of the accusations made by ABC was that Robach had liquor in her dressing room, which is a violation of policy. One source called the accusation "ridiculous," noting that ABC executives sent some of the bottles to her. It's also reported that ABC claimed Robach went to the College Football Playoff National Champion Game a year ago and came to work the next day drunk. One source called that accusation "insane," insisting that Robach was just tired that day. Robach went to college at the University of Georgia, and her team won the national championship last year

In December, it was reported that Holmes and Robach were having an affair; they haven't appeared together on GMA3 since Dec. 2. At the time, ABC said the two haven't broken any rules because they were equals on the show. PEOPLE recently reported that Holmes and Robach couldn't be fired.

"There are no negotiations about their future. ABC is completing their investigation," a source told PEOPLE. "While it is unlikely they will return in the capacity they were in — the longer time goes on, it becomes less likely they will return — there are still open lines of communication and further discussions are being had about what will happen."

Robach became the anchor of GMA3 in March 2020 with Dr. Jennifer Ashton. Holmes joined the show in September of that year, and all three hosted together until December 2022. GMA3 originally started in 2018 when it was called GMA Day with Michael Strahan and Sara Haines as hosts, but Keke Palmer joined the program in August of that year to fill in for Haines who was on maternity leave. The show's name was changed to GMA3: Strahan, Sara and Keke, and the show was suspended on March 17, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
