When Do 'Chicago Fire' and 'Chicago P.D.' Return to NBC?

As we near the second half of summer, TV fans are starting to itch for the returns of their favorite shows - including the hit Chicago shows on NBC.

Well, not to fear, as there are only a couple more months left to wait. After a move to Thursday nights, Chicago Fire returns on September 28 at 10 pm ET.

Former Chicago P.D. Star Returning For Season 5

Unlike its fire-fighting counterpart, Chicago P.D. didn't see a change in its schedule. The popular crime drama will return on Wednesday, September 27 at 10 pm ET.

This summer's wait has been hard for fans of Chicago Fire, as the season 5 finale ended with a cliffhanger that could potentially end the lives of multiple members of firehouse 51, and everyone is ready for season 6 to hurry up and get here.

While the schedule stays the same for P.D., the cast will look a little bit different. Star Sophia Bush has officially departed the series, meaning no Erin Lindsay in season 5. To make up for the loss, Jon Seda will be returning from Chicago Justice to become a series regular once again.

So, set reminders on your calendars, and prepare yourselves for a return to Chicago this fall on NBC.
