Every Haircut You Need For Summer

There is no better time to swap out your haircut then our beloved summertime. Whether you are preparing for sweltering temperatures or prepping yourself for your kids being home from school, your hair look needs an update.

Go for a bold chop like Jennifer Lawrence or step your toe into the short hair arena with a razored layer. Not ready to totally embrace a short haired summer cut? Beachy waves, loose lobs or blunt edges are all this season's stylish suggestions.

Bobs Away
Free your neck and shoulders of hair and save yourself from a season filled with your hair constantly pulled back with a bob. The classic cut has a fun update this season with side swept bangs or structured and sleek. Blowdry your hair with a round brush, then use a heat protectant and straightening iron to achieve Karlie Kloss's look.

Razor Sharp
What's not to love about Julianne Hough's razor-edged bob? Piecey layers with tons of volume and texture, ask your trusty hairdresser to use a razor on the ends to get this look. Pick up some hair paste to apply to the ends of your hair, twisting the pieces in alternating directions with your fingers.

Beach Babe
The beach wave look is nothing new, however, it has remained a fabulous go-to look for any season because of how well the cut works on many different types of faces. Wrap 1-inch pieces of hair around a curling wand, pulling down on the curl to give it a wave look.

On the Level
A graduated bob, the leveled lob has a uniform length all the way around your head. This look still allows you to pull your hair back when working on weekend gardening but short enough to curl for a night out. Ask your hair stylist to dry cut the edges after blowdrying to make sure the length is exactly the same.

Pixie Dust
Short cuts are sexy, opt for a close crop with long bangs that you can style away from your face and on top of your head. Apply a bit of texturizer on the tips to create separation and volume if going for a more edgy rocker look. Side sweep your bangs with a finishing serum for a sleek do.

Big Bang
Bangs are not the awkward haircut we used to depend on in middle school. They are shaggy and chic with matching bobs, lobs or long layers. If you are not ready to totally commit to the big bang, try these temporary clip-ins to give the look a test run!
