Dreamiest Wedding Gowns From Bridal Fashion Week

Between the RSVP wrangling and the seating placements, there are a few tasks that seem more like a job then a joy when it comes to wedding planning. Can we get to honeymoon planning, yet?! Besides marrying your beloved, possibly the most joyous task on your to-do list is picking out the outfit that you will smile time and time again: your wedding gown.

Luckily, Bridal Fashion Week 2017 recently occurred and made us want to get married all over again. Or at least try on these incredible gowns with a glass of champs. Sexy silhouettes, skin-baring shoulders and vintage romance were seen on the runways where models gave 'modern' a new meaning.

At the forefront of these modern dreamy designs is renowned bridal designer Sarah Seven who presented her designs at Fashion Week in a loft filled with shades of blush blooms and lush light. Seven has been designing gowns that bridal dreams are made of since 2009. She has since opened flagship bridal salons in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York where she offers a one-of-a-kind experience for brides. Seven has given us an exclusive look into her Fashion Week collection and what brides should look for as they seek their dream wedding gown.

First Thing is First: Be Yourself
It may sound simplistic or obvious, but in the wide world of Pinterest boards and bridal magazines, it is so easy to get caught up in the wanderlust of gowns. Before you go to try on gowns, make sure you bring one thing: your confidence. Seven suggests, "Don't overdo it. Be yourself -- your own opinion on your styling is the most important! Your fiancé fell for you based on your personal style. Chose elements for your look that made you feel confident and beautiful; flaunting that confidence is the final touch."

Bold Moves
Beach brides, this trend if for you, showing just enough skin without being scandalous. Subtle cutouts, plunging necklines, drop shoulders, bare backs and sheer paneling were all seen during Fashion Week. "We wanted to evolve with our bride and offer her sophistication and the ability to feel sexy in our gowns." Vera Wang and Carolina Herrara also embraced the trend, showcasing skin-baring looks with unique details including beaded v-cut backs to over-sized bows and lace paneling.

Traditional Modernist
While there was a lot of cold shoulders being seen at Fashion Week, Seven along with Hayley Paige and Anna Campbell Bridal showcased an ode to traditional bridal gowns with a modern twist. Seven explains, "We used a lot of lace in our new Romantics Collection, it is tribute to the classic bride with a touch of luxury and obviously, romance." Seven used light layers of lace over silk and tiered chiffon -- her signature look -- as well as nude illusion bodices with lace sleeves, straps and throughout the bodice itself.

Mixed Separates
Crop tops may seem for the anti-bride only, however, the wedding gown separates are all bridal. "Our hope was to give brides a collection full of options ranging from easy to elegant -- with a few separates mixed in to bridge the gap." Reem Acra and Marchesa also revealed two-piece gowns with a combination of form-fitting lace or beaded crop tops and traditional full tulle skirts. High-low hemlines with a boxy embellished crop top is the new modern and is perfect for the fashion forward Womanista. "The crop top should not be a scary thing, this is not a Coachella look, but a refined and luxurious statement ensemble!"
