Netflix Needs to Bring Back These Shows

Netflix has what feels like an endless supply of TV shows to stream, but sometimes they shuffle shows off to make room for new ones and not all of those shows deserve to be kicked to the curb.

It stands to reason that with all they offer, the powers-that-be at Netflix would have to make some tough calls when it comes to programming.

As a hypothetical, let's say they wanted to add all seven seasons of Boy Meets World to their line-up. That would mean that they'd likely have to make room for it by sacrificing some other show, like Weeds or Lost.

Obviously, that isn't the only reason shows get tossed from the streaming service, but it is an unfortunate circumstance. "Out with the old, in with the new."

However, there are plenty of shows Netflix has let go that are high-profile and it's just a complete injustice that they're not available anymore.

Netflix Life put together a list of shows that used to be on Netflix but aren't anymore and should be, and we've condensed that list for you below.

Psych

Seasons: Eight / Episodes: 121

Cast: James Roday, Dulé Hill, Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson and Corbin Bernsen.

Psych debuted on the USA network in July of 2006 and aired its final episode in December of 2009.

During that time, the series built a loyal following by consistently delivering well-written episodes with perfectly blended humor.

While it may be a shame that Netflix no longer carries the show, fans can rejoice knowing that later this year USA will air Psych: The Movie, a 2-hour made-for-TV movie featuring the series' original cast.

Scrubs

Seasons: Nine / Episodes: 182

Cast: Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Neil Flynn, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, Eliza Coupe, Kerry Bishé, Michael Mosley and Dave Franco.

Scrubs was a very unique sitcom. It wasn't a typical multi-camera show with sets and an audience.

It was shot more like a drama, and included a lot of dramatic elements, like nothing else that ever came before it. It changed the way 30-minute comedy shows would be seen forever.

While it used to be one of the top shows on Netflix, it's not available anymore.

The X-Files

Seasons: 10 / Episodes: 208

Cast: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Robert Patrick, Annabeth Gish, and Mitch Pileggi.

The X-Files is an iconic sci-fi show that made household names out of its stars, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

While both went on to star in other successful shows and movies, they'll always be Agent's Mulder and Scully in the hearts of the X-Files fans.

It's unfortunate that the show isn't available to watch on Netflix anymore, but on the plus side, they did a revival (10th) season earlier this year on FOX and it's been announced that another 10-episode season is on the way.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Seasons: Seven / Episodes: 144

Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Stewart Head, David Boreanaz, Seth Green, James Marsters, Marc Blucas, Emma Caulfield, Michelle Trachtenberg and Amber Benson.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer was a critically-acclaimed TV series created by Avengers director Joss Whedon and based on the film by the same name, which he also wrote.

It launched the careers of Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz, who went to star in five seasons of his own spin-off series, Angel.

Sadly, neither show is available to watch on Netflix any longer.

House

Seasons: 8 / Episodes: 177

Cast: Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard, Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer, Peter Jacobson, Kal Penn, Olivia Wilde, Amber Tamblyn, Odette Annable and Charlyne Yi.

Dr. Gregory House was so unlikable that you couldn't help but love him.

Episode after episode, he would throw around his contentious ego and drive the rest of the characters crazy, but he always figured out the medical mystery in the end.

He may have been a jerk, but he was a brilliant one.

You used to be able to relive the entire series on Netflix, but sadly, not anymore.
