After years away from the limelight, comedy icon, Carol Burnett will be heading to Netflix for an original, unscripted series called, A Little Help With Carol Burnett.

Deadline reports that the 12-episode series will star the 84-year-old and a panel of straight-talking, 4- to 8-year-olds, as they showcase how different generations solve life's biggest problems.

Each half will be half-an-hour and show kids facing real life issues brought before them by celebrities and everyday people, while dishing back guidance in front of a live studio audience.

"Someone once asked me how old I am inside," said Burnett. "I thought about it, and came up with, 'I'm about eight.' So it's going to be a lot of fun playing with kids my age."

Netflix is taking a big push with the unscripted series, which initially kickstarted with the Sylvester Stallone-produced, Ultimate Beastmaster and the upcoming revival of Queer Eye For the Straight Guy.

The streaming channel adds that they are "thrilled" Burnett will be bringing her unique sensibilities to their platform, with Mark Bracco, EVP for Netflix saying it is surreal to be working with the icon.

"We couldn't be more excited to be working on our first series with Netflix, and to be working with a comedy legend like Carol Burnett is truly a dream come true," Bracco said of the Dick Clarke produced production.

Burnett has earned more than 20 Emmy nominations in her career, winning six over a span of five decades. Her acclaimed series, The Carol Burnett Show ran for 11 years, winning top honors as the "Best Variety-Comedy series" for each of those seasons, winning three times.

The Netflix series is slated for a 2018 premiere.
