Mackenzie Standifer Possibly Quitting 'Teen Mom OG'

Mackenzie Standifer could possibly be ending her time on Teen Mom OG after she took some of the blame for her husband Ryan Edwards' drug addiction.

One of the most dramatic scandals from the past season of the MTV reality show was when Edwards began to nod off on the way to the couple's wedding. It was apparent that drug use was involved in the incident.

During a sit-down conversation with Dr. Drew Pinksky, both Standifer and Edwards' ex Maci Bookout were faced with their shares of blame for letting the problem persist.

Now, in a cryptic Instagram post, Standifer rants about "quitting" various aspects and social pressures in her life. Many of the pressures mirror the struggles faced by being in the public eye. This is causing some to speculate if Standifer will refuse to be a part of Teen Mom OG when filming resumes because of the backlash from the incident.

"I quit. I quit living my life caring about what others think of it," she wrote. "I quit responding to the stupidity that seems to follow this world. I quit giving a rip about who doesn't like this or that ( if ya don't like it, don't read it.) I quit the A N X I E T Y attached to it. I quit living a life of social norms and accepting that wife-hood and motherhood are simply not normal.

She continued, "It's hard. It's ugly at times. It's brutal and it is a dog eat dog world out there. But it's worth it. It's worth the struggle, it's worth the pain and it's worth the work. Sometimes you just have to quit. And sometimes quitting can be a beautiful thing. Because •L I F E• and {LOVE} are beautiful things."

This could just be Standifer venting about an unrelated frustration or just choosing to ignore the critics in the Teen Mom fanbase. However, it's not unprecedented for a former major supporting player to cut ties with the show.
