WWF: In Your House Behind The Scenes Photos Show Undertaker, Bret Hart, And More

In today's WWE games, developers pain themselves in capturing the entire experience of being in a match, including all the maneuvers, strategies, and character work that goes into entertaining millions of fans every week in the ring.

Back in 1995, video game developers had slightly different priorities. Sure you had the chanting audience and stunning graphics (for the time), but the actual wrestling was more akin to a fighting game like Mortal Kombat rather than an actual wrestling match.

Doesn't mean they weren't damn entertaining, though.

Well, at least some of them were. Unfortunately, Acclaim missed the mark with WWF: In Your House, which themed each location after the wrestlers theme. It's a novel idea, but it didn't cover up for the underwhelming graphics and stunted gameplay.

Still, it's always interesting to see how games are made behind the scenes, and thanks to Zia Hiltey we get to see wrestlers like The Undertaker, Goldust, Ahmed Johnson, The Ultimate Warrior, and the late Owen Hart performing some performance capture work for the game (via Yahoo/Uproxx).

You can head here to see the entire selection, though we've added some highlights to the gallery, like The Undertaker looking completely befuddled about something, most likely how he got persuaded to be in the game in the first place. Owen Hart can be seen performing a jump from a turnbuckle in one instance, while performing in front of a green screen in another. Bret Hart looks to be taking some kicks from a producer, and Ahmed Johnson seems to be in the middle of his pre-fight pose.

While the game didn't turn out as well as many had hoped, the photos are still a fun look into how these games get made. You can see some footage from the game in the video above to see how it all turned out.
