Former UFC and WWE star, Ken Shamrock, wants back in the game. Not only is the 53 year old former Intercontinental Champion hopeful for another shot in the ring, but he wants it with The Beast.

On the latest episode of Primo Nutmeg podcast, Shamrock was asked if he would like to return to WWE and face Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

"Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. That's something I would love to do. I think that Brock Lesnar with his type of style, of just big muscles, slow moving power type stuff that I could really work a great match with him."

Shamrock first started campaigning for a match with The Beast in a May interview with Hannibal TV.

"I've always risen to the top and become the guy. The only one I haven't done that was in pro wrestling, the WWF. I captured Tag Team, Intercontinental, Rookie Of The Year, King Of The Ring, everything but the heavyweight title. I would hope that somewhere down the road all the differences would be but aside, and allow me to come back and at least get a shot at the heavyweight title, and I hope Brock Lesnar has it cause I'd like to come after him."

Shamrock was also asked how he would approach Vince for getting another run with the company, but toughest man on the former "Worlds Most Dangerous Man" doesn't feel like he should have to ask.

"I wouldn't ask why I should get another chance. I think everyone already knows that I should get a chance. I think I would want to know why, what's the underlying - cause everyone else has come back. Look at it, all these other guys have come and gone back, had issues with them, went to other organizations, WCW come back and they still got in. I would really want to know the truth. What was it that I did so bad that kept me out? Cause obviously I have the talent. I brought in all those new moves everyone is using now. You want to talk about somebody that has changed the face of wrestling because of them being in it, I think it's pretty clear I did that. Me to have an opportunity to come back and at least get a shot at that title, because it eludes me and bothers me, so I'd love to get a shot at that."

Shamrock's wrestling career spanned from 1997 through 2004 where he captured multiple championships in WWE and the TNA Heavyweight Championship. Shamrock was last seen at Bellator 149, losing a fight to long time rival, Royce Graice. On March 11, 2016 it was revealed by Texas Combat Sports commission that Shamrock had failed his pre-fight drug test. Shamrock's fight license has since been revoked.

WWE has kept their distance from Shamrock since his departure, and sadly, it doesn't seem like they will change their stance anytime soon.
