Charlotte Flair Wants a Match With Stephanie McMahon

Charlotte Flair has only been on WWE's main roster for 2 years, but in that time she's has already made her case for being the greatest women's wrestler of all time. And she's only getting started.

The daughter of 16-time World Champion Ric Flair, owns some lofty ambitions. She recently joined App.com's Fan Theory Podcast and discussed her career goals:

"My goal is to be crowned the first-ever Triple Crown winner; I have won the Divas Championship, I was the last ever Divas Champion. I won the RAW Women's Championship, now I need to add the Smackdown Women's Championship. I was also the NXT Women's Champion, so right now that is my first and foremost goal."

Becoming the first ever triple-crown winner isn't enough. Charlotte wants to lock up with two of the biggest talents women's wrestling offers:

"Second, Asuka, I want to dethrone her. I think everyone on the main roster I'm looking forward to being in a different role, my comfort level is being a heel, so I can now focus on being the best babyface ever. That is a challenge I am l looking at taking straight on, but one of my dream matches would be Stephanie McMahon, 'Queen vs Queen'."

Although Stephanie McMahon doesn't technically wrestle, she does keep a habit of taking huge bumps at WrestleMania. Not to mention she herself is a former Women's Champion. What are the chances we could ever see Flair vs. McMahon? It's hard to say, but it's unlikely. But in wrestling, never say never is the best code to live by.

Women now find themselves an integral part of WWE's product. More so than ever, the ladies in WWE are featured as competitors rather than eye candy. Instead of bra and panty matches, we have been given women's Hell in a Cell Matches. Instead of mud wrestling, WWE's women now compete in ladder matches. Even further, the women of WWE have become priorities on the card. Gone are the days of two-minute formality - women are trending towards becoming headliners.

Flair herself has been one of the figureheads of this movement along with Sasha Banks. For Flair, she'll be competing in this Sundays Fatal 5-Way match at Battleground for the right to challenge SmackDown Women's champion, Naomi, at SummerSlam. It's best to consider Charlotte the favorite in any pay-per-view match up, but with so many ins and outs, consider Sunday night to be totally unpredictable.
