Latest Update on Braun Strowman's Return

Is Braun Strowman returning to RAW next week?

According to a report from Cageside Seats, The Monster Among Men is expected to be present for next week's RAW in Nashville, TN. It would mark an all too logical return date for Strowman as he wold take a particular interest in Roman Reigns' number one contender match against Samoa Joe.

This past Monday, WWE published an update on the injured Strowman's status.

"While Strowman miraculously walked out of Dallas under his own power after refusing medical attention, WWE.com can confirm that he is currently in the care of his personal physician and will not disclose the nature of his injuries at this time. Also, per Angle's office, if and when Strowman is cleared to compete again, there will be a public announcement confirming his status"

While WWE has a vested interest in keeping his return ambiguous, If Cageside Seats are proven correct, next week marks a perfect time for Strowman to show up on RAW.

This past RAW, Kurt Angle created a number one contender match between Joe and Reigns for next week's episode. However, it seems hard to believe that Strowman won't get involved in some fashion — he's got a near biblical amount of incentive.

For those that missed it, at Great Balls of Fire, Reigns did his best to rid the WWE of Strowman permanently. The Big Dog locked Strowman into the back of an ambulance and sent the vehicle into reverse, plunging it into a concrete wall. Needless to say, it was pretty dramatic.

We still aren't sure if WWE successfully pulled off the mythical double switch, where Reigns goes full heel and Strowman pure babyface, and we won't truly know until their next interaction. That won't keep us from guessing — when Strowman returns, it will be colossal.

If it's next week, we can logically assume that he will cost Reigns his Universal Title shot. Then, a week later, Reigns will make his case for being robbed. Paul Heyman will say that Joe doesn't deserve a rematch and Kurt Angle will only have one option: Let these titans settle it at SummerSlam in a Fatal Four Way.

That would make for quite the old school showcase of monsters that made WWE what it is today. There may not be enough canvass in the ring to support a match between those four behemoths. With this looking to be the case, it does take a bit of the drama out of next week's big RAW match, but it will be worth it — because if this turns out to be the case for SummerSlam, there is no clear favorite. And when we have to resort to guessing, that's when wrestling is at its finest.
