Big Cass Wants a Shot at Brock Lesnar

Big Cass completely dismantled his old pal, Enzo Amore, at Great Balls Of Fire, leading many to wonder what is next for the 7 footer. In talking to Renee Young and Peter Rosenberg on RAW Talk after last night's win, Cass revealed that he was moving on from Enzo and aiming for a much bigger goal.

The newly turned singles star wants a shot at the Universal Championship. Cass says it would be a tough task to go up against The Beast but if anyone can do it, it's him. "I think I can go toe to toe with the beast. I think I can beat the beast. I think I am the next Universal Champion."

In the interview, Cass also fleshed out his heel turn a little more, saying fans always cheered for Enzo but never truly believed in him. He specifically pointed towards a WWE exec who never believed in him while he was in NXT. No idea if this was an off-the-cuff remark of if Cass was setting up a program with a former wrestler.

As for aiming for Lesnar, it's unlikely Cass will get anywhere near the Universal Champion in the next few months. Reports still point towards Brock defending his title against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, with Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe still being heavily involved in the title picture. At this point a fatal four way could make the most sense.

What's more likely is that Enzo will keep coming at Cass week in and week out until he picks up some type of fluke, roll-up victory allowing both men to move on.

Cass is currently in a tough spot on Raw. At best, he's fourth in line among monster heels behind Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, and Bray Wyatt. Throw in Roman Reigns, who I swear turned heel last night, and Cass could be staring down the mid-card for the rest of the year.

No matter what happens next, we can only hope the big guy will get a new theme song that doesn't sound like it was given to a generic create-a-wrestler on WWE 2K.
