Baron Corbin Breaks Character to Console Child at Ringside

Could one of the biggest heels in the WWE also have one of the biggest hearts? After the SmackDown Live cameras stopped rolling on Tuesday night, Baron Corbin showed a different side of his Lone Wolf character. Corbin lost a dark match to Shinsuke Nakamura, which caused a young fan to lose his emotions. As Corbin was leaving the ring he noticed the child crying in the front row. Likely surprised that a kid would be cheering for the big bad villain, Corbin went over to check on the situation.

As he realized the young fan was beside himself, Corbin picked up the little guy to let him know everything was going to be alright. Thankfully, a fan caught the entire interaction on their phone and posted it to twitter.

Not only did Corbin try to cheer the boy up, but he gave him the shirt off his back.

Before you start complaining about Mr. Money In The Bank ruining kayfabe, this is what all WWE stars are trained to do. These kind of gestures are what turn young fans into fans for life.

NXT General Manager and talent scout, William Regal recently had an interview with The Metro about what it really takes to become a WWE superstar.

"That's another thing a lot of people don't get, 15 minutes in the ring is probably the smallest part of your whole day because you're constantly doing interviews, or you're out representing the company."

"I always say that if I can't trust that you can be sent by the talent relations department to go and talk to a group of schoolchildren at 8am in the morning, you don't need to be here, we just don't need you here in this company at the moment. There are only so many wrestlers that can actually look and act the part, and do whatever they have to do in WWE, and that's a lesson to be learnt for a lot of wrestlers, you need to look the part. If you don't, there is very little chance of you making it here."

Corbin will get a chance to cheer up his little fan when he gets a rematch with Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE Battleground on July 23rd.
