Roman Reigns Tweets About His Attack on Braun Strowman

It may be time to stop asking if Roman Reigns is a babyface. For those that missed it, The Big Dog locked his Great Balls of Fire opponent, Braun Strowman into an ambulance and sent the emergency vehicle into a kamikaze crash into a concrete wall. Reigns walked away. He remains at large.

Legally speaking, Roman Reigns' choice last night qualifies as second-degree attempted murder. With a good defense attorney, that can land you about 12 years in prison. But, Reigns won't be incarcerated, instead, he'll be on RAW tonight. Chances are, it won't be to apologize.

The potential fugitive tweeted this:

Hours after Great Balls of Fire the internet is trying to figure out if Roman Reign's officially turned heel last night. In a vacuum, there's no doubt that he has. His self-absorbed promos, the pre-fight video package where Reigns was portrayed as the evil-doer responsible for injuring Strowman's elbow, and then the death ride he supplied the Monster of Men. If you just started watching wrestling last night, then yes Roman Reigns is a heel.

But we all know it's just not that simple.

Top guys in WWE have become brands more so than characters, so trying to neatly package them into heel or face dichotomies is a complicated task. For all of 2017, Reigns has been more egotistical than ever. Earlier in his career, Reigns felt like he was pandering; trying to be liked. Now, he's much more of the take it or leaves it variety.

The juicier question is if not only did Reigns turn heel, but did we get the mythical double turn? The live audience loves Braun Strowman. Now that he has survived an attempted assassination, we may be permanently smitten. Whatever happened last night, didn't feel spontaneous, WWE may have been building to last night's violent moment for several weeks now. Whatever it is, we'll know more after RAW tonight.
