Reby Hardy Fires Shot at Lita

Reby Hardy does not want to hear your fantasies about a Team Extreme reunion.

Yesterday, a fan posted a photo of the Hardy Boyz and Lita, pandering for the popular trio to get back together. The seemingly innocent post tagged both Matt and Jeff along with their wives and children.

Reby Hardy did not appreciate the mixing Lita and the Hardy Family.

Mrs. Hardy's harsh words don't come without precedent, though. Her husband, Matt, was more than just tag team partners with Lita. The two began dating back in 1999 and their romance would come to a scandalous and public end around 2005.

When Matt was out of action due to a knee injury, Lita became romantically involved with fellow WWE Superstar, Edge. The affair didn't stay hidden long as Matt took his frustrations public. The off-screen feud was so hot that WWE actually decided to create a storyline out of it. It served as one of those moments in wrestling history where things were a little too real.

Until today, the love triangle drama has been dormant. Edge is happily married to another former WWE Superstar, Beth Phoenix. Lita has gone on to find her own niche as a coach and announcer for WWE, while the Hardy Boyz are enjoying their final chapters in wrestling.

With Reby breaking the cease-fire, will we see some more emotional fireworks? Reby stays pretty active on Twitter and is comfortable making brutally honest tweets. Even though this has potential to be a social media mud-slinging contest, this looks like something that most adults would shrug off.
