Bayley Opens Up on Stone Cold's Podcast

Perhaps no one is having a tougher time in WWE than Bayley. Just 8 weeks ago she was RAW Women's Champion. Now, she finds herself at the bottom of RAW's roster.

What happened?

Well, she lost her title to, at that time, the hottest act in WWE, Alexa Bliss. From there, she would continue to feud with Bliss, which proved to be damaging. Bliss would go on to dominate her on the microphone as well as in the ring. To put it simply, Bayley got outclassed.

Up Next: It's Time for Bayley to go Go Back to NXT

Bayley's championship rematch at Extreme Rules was a painful indicator that something had changed. Her and Bliss' Kendo Stick Match was short and one-sided. It seemed that WWE had taken the fight out of Bayley.

Add a cringe-worthy RAW interview with Corey Graves and the fact that she was merely a blip in last night's Gauntlet Match and we officially have a trend.

Bayley is in trouble.

She seems to know it, too. Bayley recently joined Stone Cold Steve Austin on his podcast where she was candid about her current struggle:

"I feel like right now I'm in a weird spot with my career. When I first came I felt like 'OK, I'm still from NXT' I felt like I knew exactly what I was doing but now, I'm still figuring it out. So, I'm in a weird spot right now."

Props to her for having the self-awareness of needing to improve. This isn't the first time that an NXT star has struggled once their new car smell faded on the main roster. In fact, it seems a few months after their promotion the WWE rookies all go through a similar funk. For Bayley, it's been particularly bad, though.

There have been rumors about WWE trying some new creative angles to kickstart The Queen of Huggers. But, they don't sound too promising as they involved a romance angle with Corey Graves.

For now, Bayley's future is up in the air. However, the fans seem like they are still behind her. Perhaps it is in WWE's best interest to keep "punishing" Bayley by having her not appear on TV. This method produced the Yes Movement - one of the most poignant moments in WWE history.

Hang in there, Bayley.
