For those counting seasons, you're looking at a potential 2019 end-date for Orange is the New Black.

While speaking with The New York Times, Kohan was asked about a potential eighth season, and she didn't seem too excited about the idea.

"I haven't made a final decision yet, but I'm leaning toward ending it after seven — although the nature of the show is one that can go on and on because you can bring in new people."

So there could be an eighth season of OITNB, but it would look much different, featuring different characters in the prison system. The quote from Kohan makes it sound like the story of Alex, Piper, Red and the other inmates will wrap up after two more seasons.

Kohan also revealed that she's got an idea about how the show will end but, as you can imagine, her lips are sealed.

"I think [I know how it ends]. And I will not share it."

Orange is the New Black has already been renewed for its sixth and seventh seasons, but don't expect much more than that from the Netflix original.
