The cast of the Chicago shows on NBC have always been close, and that bond clearly last longer than the characters on the series.

This weekend, a couple of former stars spent some quality time together, and the Instagram photos gave fans of the franchise all kinds of warm-and-fuzzy feelings.

Lauren German played fan-favorite EMT Leslie Shay on Chicago Fire. Her tragic death in the Season 2 finale has never been forgotten, but German has since moved on from the series. On Monday, the actress took to Instagram to share that she wasn't the only former star out and about.

German posted a picture with Sophia Bush, who starred as Erin Lindsay in four seasons of Chicago P.D., but has left the show heading into Season 5. The duo apparently remain close to this day.

The actress kept the caption simple, saying that she was "Reunited" with her friends. The other woman in the photo appears to be German's on-screen BFF from Chicago Fire, Monica Raymund, although she isn't tagged in the picture.

If that is Raymund, she's the only person in the photo who's still currently working on the Chicago franchise.

Bush later re-posted the image on her personal Instagram account, referring to the trio of friends as the "Sisterhood of the Travelling Jazz."

While German and Bush remain close in real life, their characters from the Chicago franchise also shared a major connection. Shay was best friends with Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) while she was alive, and Lindsay ended up dating Severide later on.

Both Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will return to NBC this fall.
