At the end of season 10, fans of The Big Bang Theory were left wondering if Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) would be engaged by the time the show returned.

Now the two actors behind the characters are cheesing it up on set, giving hope to fans that the engagement will come to fruition.

Bialik shared the above a selfie of her and Parsons on set for the Big Bang Theory's season 11 premiere. The two are seen hanging out together on a couch with Bialik smiling while Parsons glares at her camera.

"He only looks mad at me," she captioned the photo. "He says he missed me. I love Jim either way."

If this is in prep for shooting a scene, it's hopeful for fans to see the two interacting on set together. This could mean that Amy accepts Sheldon's proposal and they start down the road to married life.

We already know that the season 11 premiere will be centered around the proposal.

Besides the logical need to wrap up a cliffhanger, Kaley Cuoco shared a photo of the premiere script that showed an episode title ending in "al." It's most likely that the featured word is "proposal."

CBS's The Big Bang Theory returns on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. CST.
