The threats were said to have been made during the filming of Straight Outta Compton, which Gray also directed, according to TMZ.

The grand jury's written indictment reads, in part, "On or about August 8, 2014, Suge ... threatened to commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury to Felix Gary Gray."

Incidentally, months before this happened, Knight killed a man who was involved with the film by running over him in a parking lot in Compton.

Reportedly, his violent outbursts and threats extend from him being extremely dissatisfied with the way he was portrayed in the film.

He'll be arraigned on Thursday, even though the indictment was dated for February of this year, which means that it's taken six months for an arraignment in this particular case.

Additionally, sources close to Knight claim that the case revolving around the murder charge is falling apart and that police are just out to get him.

The Fate of the Furious is easily one of the most well-regarded films in the Fast & Furious franchise, but it turns out that Gray may not return for another one.

While speaking to Screen Rant, Gray was asked if he had any plans to direct a Fast 9.

Gray responded, "Right now I'm starting a company, so that is my focus for the last couple of months. I had a chance to take a week off, a vacation, and then jump into some prior stuff that I had to take care of. And in the midst of starting a company, so that's what I've been dealing with."

So while there will be another Fast film, Gray could potentially forgo the opportunity and let someone else take the reins.
