A Virginia mother, Darla Hise, is being accused of killing her 6-year-old daughter last February after allegedly telling the investigators that she was trying to send the girl to heaven to save her from aliens.

Last week, documents were filed in court by Hise's attorney that show she asked the officials at a psychiatric hospital that she had aliens in her stomach and wanted them removed, according to People.

The court doc was filed by Hise's lawyer in an attempt to prevent the alleged confession from being entered as evidence in her upcoming trial.

Hise allegedly murdered her daughter on February 6. She called 911 multiple times but never told the officers her name and address. She would only say that her daughter had been shot.

Law enforcement officials then traced the call to Hise's home in Hot Springs. When the deputies arrived at the scene, Hise's daughter, Abigail, was found dead from a single gunshot wound.

The cops then placed Hise under arrest. She was charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, two counts of use of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and having a firearm while in possession of the drugs. Hise is pleading not guilty to all charges.

At this time, the authorities have not revealed the location on Abigail's body where she was shot.

Tony Anderson, Hise's attorney, claimed in his motion that her mental condition and chronic drug use made it impossible for Hise to remain silent while being questioned by detectives.

"In this case, the evidence will show that Hise's drug use and psychosis prevented her from being fully aware that she was abandoning her right against self-incrimination and to counsel and the consequences of abandoning those rights," the motion reads.

When Hise was taken to the hospital for a screening, the motion alleges that her speech was "incoherent." At first, the doctors diagnosed Hise with a "possible drug-induced psychosis vs. PTSD psychosis."

After being tested, it was determined that Hise had methamphetamine, amphetamines, and marijuana in her system.

Anderson claims that Hise had been taking the combination of drugs in the three weeks leading up to Abigail's death.

During the interview with police, "She detailed her psychosis that she believed her daughter and son were in danger from aliens and she thought she was going to save her daughter by sending her to heaven."

Hise's trial has been scheduled for late August.
