"It's now officially confirmed that DMX has passed away," one fan tweeted. "Rest In Peace to an all time great, an icon in the genre and an unforgettable legacy."
DMX was always the maximum version of himself in every instance of his life," someone else offered. "He embraced all his emotions to the fullest and something about that vulnerability made him look like more than a man. Rest In Peace. The love is forever."
"DMX was such a crucial figure in my musical tastes but also venting everything I was going through as a scared, confused, and sometimes angry kid well into an adult who loved to party. No words to describe how much this one hurt. RIP to a Legend," a mourning fan tweeted.
