Jim Parsons Dishes on Returning for ‘Big Bang Theory’s’ 11th Season

Jim Parsons appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, and while there, The Big Bang Theory star dished on the the CBS comedy’s upcoming eleventh season and his future on the show.

Parsons shared that the cast of the show has officially begun work on the upcoming season, noting that it was “crazy” walking into the first table read.

“It’s a really severe bit of arrested development,” he said. “There’s a part of my brain that does not understand that I was 33 and that I’m not anymore.”

“Like this show’s going to end at some point and I’m going to be like ‘I can’t wear this anymore! I am an old man!’ ” the 44-year-old cracked.

The actor also dished on The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon, which follows Sheldon’s upbringing in Texas. The series stars young actor Iain Armitage as the titular genius, with Parsons sharing that the two have already bonded.

“Yeah [we have] an unlikely bond,” he said. “I didn’t think I was very good with kids, but I’m fine with them, if they’re smart and talented.”

“He is such a man-child,” Parsons added of Armitage. “He thinks like a man, but then he’s just a kid.”

Parsons also provides voiceover and serves as an executive producer on Young Sheldon.
