The Doors Reportedly Suing Kendall And Kylie Jenner

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are under fire for releasing a line of "vintage" t-shirts that feature their faces plastered over famous album artwork from iconic musicians. The latest group that has taken issue with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars is the legendary rock group The Doors.

The legal team representing the group filed a cease and desist letter to the Jenner sisters over the apparel, according to TMZ. The t-shirts featured a famous photo of Jim Morrison, which is covered by a Kendall pic.

The letter sent to the Jenners states that the t-shirt tarnishes the band's trademark by using the group's logo.

The Doors clearly were not satisfied with the apology that Kendall Jenner posted on social media on Thursday of this week. The initial backlash came from the estates representing late rappers Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur.

Notorious B.I.G.'s mother, Voletta Wallace, voiced her outrage with the situation. In an Instagram post, Wallace wrote:

"I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!"

The Victoria's Secret angeltook to Twitter to post an apology for the t-shirt line. Kendall not only said the t-shirt line was a mistake but also said that the shirts were removed from retail.

"These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists," Jenner wrote in the statement.

"We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all the images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry."

Other artists featured in the Jenner "vintage" line included Tupac, Pink Floyd, and Ozzy Osbourne.
