New Details Emerge in Chester Bennington's Death

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington was found dead Thursday morning in his California home as a result of a reported suicide, and new details are now emerging in the musician's tragic passing.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Bennington's death was reported as a suicide by hanging, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. The final cause of death is pending following an autopsy.

The musician was reportedly found hanging from a bedroom door in his home by an employee. No suicide note was found, and the 41-year-old was home alone before his body was discovered.

There was no evidence of drugs at the scene, but a partially empty bottle of alcohol was reportedly discovered in the room. Bennington had struggled with drug and alcohol abuse at various points throughout his life.
