Amber Rose has been in a relationship with rapper 21 Savage for a bit, but she says she's still haunted by her relationship with another hip-hop star: Kanye West.

West and Rose dated from 2008 to 2010, with their tumultuous relationship serving as one of the catalysts for West's landmark album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. It ended far from positively and most of the public blame was shifted onto to Rose.

When she appeared on the Complex web series Everyday Struggle, Rose said she still gets hounded on the Internet because of her past with West.

"I see this a lot on the internet: 'Amber's going to hurt (21 Savage),'" she said. "I've been the one that's been heartbroken. I have never cheated on any of my boyfriends. I still have never said anything mean about Kanye. This is after six, seven years of constant bullying from him."

Rose then reflected on her life right after the release of MBDTF, which she describes as one of the darkest periods of her life.

"(MBDTF) is great part of history, and it's a great part of hip-hop, and I'm happy to be a part of it, but that time was not a great time for me," Rose said. "I'm famous, and I'm broke. I can't date anyone else. I can't say anything on the internet because Kanye has such a voice. If I was going to kill myself, I would have done it during those times."

Despite the online slander thrown at her constantly, she made the most of it. She's a constant presence in headlines and has carved out her career as an in demand model and influencer. She also founded the SlutWalk march, which is intended to empower women who've been judged for their sexual behavior.

"The only thing I got from him was fame. I had to just take that," Amber said. "I had to take that heartbreak on top of it."
