Amber Portwood Reveals Why She and Matt Baier No Longer Live Together

MTV star, Amber Portwood has officially sent her fiancé, Matt Baier on his way.

The Teen Mom OG star opened up to Dr. Drew Pinsky on his podcast show, "This Life #YouLive" and revealed that while she and Baier haven't cut off communication, they aren't exactly making peace.

"We are talking, but we're not talking in a sense that we're going to get back together," Portwood stated. "We argue too much."

PEOPLE reports that the rift between Portwood and Baier, a recovering addict, dates back to when he offered her co-star Catelynn Lowell Baltiera, the alprazolam, Xanax. The incident even affected their living situation.

"We are not living together. We haven't lived together in now almost two months," Portwood told Pinsky. "I broke up with him before we went on Family Boot Camp."

"[After the breakup], I just kind of lost myself, my independence as a woman [and] as a person because I was too focused on Matt," she said.

However, Portwood didn't take the possibility for a reunion off the table as she said, "I'm trying to find me first before I even thinking about getting in another relationship with Matt."

Portwood's emotional connection with Baier isn't severed either as she reveals the two still talk.

"We still talk, of course, because love doesn't just shut off like that. That's not how it works. I just want him to be happy," she said, adding that she might be ready to forgive Baier when it comes to his debts to her too.

"I'm not trying to go after him for anything, because I just want everything to be cordial and done, if that's the way it's going to be … I'd like to have my money back, but I'm good," she said.

Portwood is looking ahead instead of dwelling on her past, telling Pinsky, "I'm doing good myself and that's all that really matters."
