Following rumors circulating over the weekend that rock power couple Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are set to divorce after 33 years, Sharon was notably absent from her co-hosting role on The Talk on Monday, Entertainment Tonight reports.

A source told ET that she plans to return to the show on Tuesday and will address the split on-air; she allegedly alerted her staff over the weekend that she would be taking a personal day today.

The Talk co-host Julie Chen addressed Sharon's absence at the start of the show, saying, "Now before we get started, as you can see Sharon is not here today. There were many tabloid headlines this past weekend about her and Ozzy, rumors and speculation that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage. Sharon understandably took today off. We are sending all of our love to her and to her family and we ask that you do the same."

E! News reported that drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the couple's split, and that Osbourne has been sober for more than three years.

Back in 2013, Sharon addressed previous split rumors on The Talk following Osbourne's relapse with drugs and alcohol, saying, "Everything that has been printed in the tabloids has been distorted. There's always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted."

Multiple sources, including The Sun and ET, have reported that an extra-marital affair is the cause of the rock couple's split.

It is alleged that Osbourne has been having an affair with Michelle Pugh, his hairstylist; Pugh works at the celebrity salon hot-spot Meche, where sources say other stylists were aware of how close the pair had gotten.

Osbourne is reportedly staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and a spokesman for the couple confirmed, "At this time Ozzy is not at the marital home."

The couple wed in 1982 and have three grown children together; Aimee, 32, Kelly, 31, and Jack, 30.
